- No chess engine, analysis board, opening database, another person or automated tool may assist during a live competitive game.
- Do not use scripts, bots, move relays or accessibility tools that choose moves for you.
- Post-game Arena ai analysis is allowed after the game has finished.
Prohibited manipulation
- Rating manipulation, arranged results, sandbagging and deliberate losing.
- Multiple-account abuse, account sharing or playing for another person.
- Disconnect, clock or challenge abuse.
- Exploiting defects instead of reporting them.
Review process
Reports and unusual play may be reviewed using game statistics, account activity, move timing, connection patterns and available evidence. Automated signals are indicators, not conclusive proof by themselves. Administrators should consider the complete circumstances before action.
Possible action
- Warning or education.
- Rating or result correction.
- Temporary restriction or suspension.
- Account closure for serious or repeated violations.
Reports and appeals
Use the player-report feature or email hi@jhoshnamedia.in with match ID, player code and reason. A reported player should not be publicly accused. Suspended players may request a review; decisions can be corrected when evidence supports it.
FIDE relationship
Grandmaster Chess Arena is an independent platform and does not claim FIDE endorsement or official FIDE ratings. FIDE rules and online fair-play principles may be used as guidance where appropriate.
